8.3　Belt Conveyor System

8.3.1　The inclination angle of ordinary belt conveyor shall not be more than 16° when conveying raw coal before the coal crusher and shall not be more than 18° when conveying fine coal after the coal crusher.

8.3.2　The coal belt conveyor gallery should be of semi-enclosed or enclosed structure.Open structure may be used when meteorological condition permits.In this case，the coal belt conveyor shall be provided with protective guard.In cold，windy and dusty areas，the coal belt conveyor gallery shall be of enclosed structure and provided with heating facilities.

8.3.3　The dimensions of the coal belt conveyor gallery and underground tunnel shall comply with the following requirements:

1　The clear width of the operation passages shall not be less than 1m，and that of the maintenance passage shall not be less than 0.7m.

2　The clear height of the conveyor gallery shall not be less than 2.2m if the belt width is 800mm and below，and shall not be less than 2.5 m if the belt width is more than 800mm.

3　The clear height of the underground tunnel of coal belt conveyors shall not be less than 2.5m.
