6　Plant Siting

6.0.1　The site of metallurgical concentrator shall be close to the mine，but it can not be arranged on the ore body or within collapse limits or within blasting dangerous areas.

6.0.2　The plants shall not be built within the boundaries of residential district，culture and education district，water resource conservation district，famous and historic relics protection area，scenic tourism spots，hot spring convalescent district and natural conservation areas etc.

6.0.3　The plant site shall have the necessary geotechnical condition for construction.The plant shall not be built on geologic fault，landslide and the place lower than the flood level.The plant shall also keep away from the unfavorable fields，such as karst cave，sludge，humid soil，pit cave，ancient wells etc.The plant shall not be built in the earthquake region with the seismic intensity higher than level 9 or in the collapsible loess layer with level 3 or above.

6.0.4　The reasonable plant site shall be recommended with comprehensive consideration of the factors，such as transport conditions of raw ore and concentrate product，topography，water supply，power supply，traffic，fuel supply，tailings stockpiling，geotechnical conditions，etc as well as technical and economic trade-off studies with many options.

6.0.5　The topography of site shall meet the requirements of process flow.Besides meeting the occupation requirements，the topography shall also meet the requirements for slurry flow by gravity or semi-gravity.

6.0.6　Selection of plant site shall be in accordance with the principle of saving of land occupation.On the premise of meeting the production requirement，less land will be occupied with no or less occupation for the farmland.Meanwhile，the future expansion space shall be reserved for the possible extension.
