4.2 Mineral Processing Experiments

4.2.1 The scale of mineral processing experiments shall be designed on the basis of ore types and design stage.

4.2.2 For the single primary magnetite ore disseminated in coarse and moderate grain sizes,the feasibility study stage shall be based on beneficiability test;the basic engineering stage shall be based on small scale process flow test.The basic engineering of large or medium sized beneficiation plant had better refer to scale-up continuous beneficiation test.

4.2.3 For the primary magnetite ore disseminated in fine and superfine grain size,the feasibility study stage shall be based on small scale process flow test and the basic engineering shall be based on scale-up continuous beneficiation test.

4.2.4 For the oxidized ore,semi-oxidized ore,complex ore,all kinds of weak magnetic minerals and the mixed ores,when disseminated in coarse or middle grain size,the feasibility study stage shall be based on the scale-up continuous beneficiation test;the basic engineering stage shall be based on the scale-up continuous beneficiation test or pilot plant test;When disseminated in fine and superfine grain size,the feasibility study stage shall be based on scale-up continuous beneficiation test,and the basic engineering shall be based on pilot plant test.Industrial test should be carried out for large-scale beneficiation plant with special complex ore characteristics.

4.2.5 Except the tests on beneficiation process flow,individual test with appropriate scale shall be done when necessary.
