Initiative Choice of China's Ocean Strategy:Integration and Coexistence—Based on the SWOT Analysis of Strategic Choice for America's Marine Alliance
Abstract: After the world war ii, in order to maintain global hegemony, the United States build up a marine alliance. Facing the marine alliance led by U. S, China have to make prediction of the using of the ocean alliance by America in order to make the positive ocean strategy. This paper use SWOT model to analyze the strategic choice for America's Marine alliance, then make the conclusion: US will use SO and ST strategy. In this case, the most important thing is to avoid U. S tak ing the SO strategy, namely: on the premise of maintaining the healthy development of Sino-U. S relations, China should take an active participation in maritime cooperation to mantain Marine order and promote China's navy have more“postmodern navy”qualities; Second, under the strategy of ST, China should use the marine strength to extend sea power, and through building up marine cooperation mechanism to weaken the influence of marine alliance, then we can seek the coexistence with the marine alliance led by U. S.
