5.3 Copper Cable Route Selection
5.3.1 Cables for cities and towns should adopt the duct laying method. The construction of telecommunications ducts in these places shall be in line with the relevant municipal infrastructure and underground pipeline planning in order to minimize damages to the pavement on the road surface and reduce the interference to the traffic and the day to day life of residents along the lines.
5.3.2 The capacity of the new ducts and poles in cities and towns shall be planned in advance and shall take full account of the utilization and sharing of the existing ducts and poles among other resources.
5.3.3 The routing selection of the cable lines shall consider the integrity of the network systems in conjunction with the primary cable line routing and cable trunk routing, whilst fully leveraging the existing facilities to ensure safety cost-effectiveness,flexibility of the lines and convenience for construction and maintenance.
5.3.4 If cable lines inevitably go through areas affected by chemicals and electrical erosions, necessary protective measures shall be taken and the use of metal protection sheath cables should be avoided.
5.3.5 If the cable routing inevitably approaches high voltage power transmission lines and the electrified railways are in parallel over a long distance, the dangerous and interference impact of high voltage and heavy current on the communication cable lines shall not exceed the specifications as described in Sections 8.1 and Section 8.2 of this code.
