1　General Principles

1.0.1　This specification is formulated for strengthening the management of pipe construction technologies and improving the project quality.

1.0.2　This Part of DL 5190 is applicable to the pipe construction of newly-built,extension or rebuilt of thermal power plants,gas-turbine,biomass,waste incineration power plants with the single unit capacity under the level of 1000MW and conventional islands of nuclear power plants.

1.0.3　This Part of DL 5190 is not suitable for process pipes made of the following materials:

1　Cast iron and reinforced concrete pipes.

2　Nonmetallic pipes(such as plastics and glass reinforced plastic).

3　Nonferrous metal pipes(such as titanium and copper).

4　Lining pipes.

5　Composite pipes.

6　Other pipes made of special materials.

1.0.4　Special construction of various pipes shall not only meet the requirements of this technical specification,but also conform to the relative provisions of national standard and technical specification of electric power construction.
