Foreword

This Part is revised from DL 5031-1994 Specification for Thermal Power Erection and Construction-Piping and System according to the requirements of Document GUONENGKEJI[2009]No.163"Notice of National Energy Administration on Formulating(Revising)the First Batch of Professional Standard in the Energy Field in 2009".

DL 5190 Technical Specification for Thermal Power Erection and Construction comprises the following 9 parts:

This Part is the fifth part"Piping and System"of DL 5190(hereinafter referred to as"this Part").

The main contents of this Part include general principles,terminology,basic requirments,pipe inspection,installation,testing and cleaning,project documents provided before quality acceptance,annexes,explanation of wording in this Code,list of reference standards,clauses explanation and so on.

In comparison with DL 5031-1994,the main technical changes of this Part are as follows:

—extend the application scope from the pipe installation for primary power unit with 300MW and above capacity to pipes and the system installation of large capacity and high parameter thermal,gasturbine,biomass and waste incineration power plants and conventional islands of nuclear power plants including the pipe and system of the single unit capability of 1000MW.

—add part of the terms and definitions,and redefine some terms.

—add the requirements of factory prefabrication and inspection of high pressure pipes.

—delete the obsoleted clauses regarding the construction of spring compression,supports and hangers components.

—add the pipe construction clauses for T23,P91,P92 and other new materials.

—add the contents of energy-conservation and environment-protection and green construction.

Articles 4.1.4,5.2.2,5.6.15,5.7.9,6.3.6 and 6.3.11 marked in bold fonts of this Part are mandatory provisions,which must be strictly implemented.Mandatory provisions are put under centralized management and interpretation by National Energy Administration.

This Part is proposed by China Electricity Council.

This Part is interpreted by Thermal Power Construction Standardization Technical Committee of Electric Power Industry.
