ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Michael G. Martin, PMP, is an internationally recognized consultant, speaker, trainer, and author with extensive experience in portfolio, program, and project management as well as enterprise risk management. During his career Mr. Martin has been instrumental in helping organizations in both the public and private sectors worldwide achieve excellence in these disciplines.
A certified project management professional, Mr. Martin has authored several books on project management, including How to Write a Statement of Work, sixth edition (coauthored with Peter S. Cole, CPCM); Federal Statements of Work: A Practical Guide; and Delivering Project Excellence with the Statement of Work, Second Edition. He is also a contributing author of The 77 Deadly Sins of Project Management and the Field Guide to Project Management, Second Edition. He is the past president and chair of the Atlanta PMI® chapter, a member of the PMP® exam development committee, and founding chair of the PMI® government specific interest group.
Mr. Martin holds an MBA from the University of North Florida and a BS in Civil Engineering from West Virginia Tech. He is a frequent speaker at various companies, professional organizations, and universities.
