YU KEPING

Yu Keping was born in 1959 in Zhuji of Zhejiang Province. With a Ph.D. in politics, he has worked as professor, Ph.D. supervisor, and former deputy director general of the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau (CCTB), and is now working as chair professor at Peking University (PKU), dean of the School of Government, PKU, and director of PKU Research Center for Chinese Politics. Ideas he has advocated, such as “governance”, “good governance”, “social governance”, “global governance”, “governmental and social co-governance”, “incremental democracy”, “government innovation”, “dynamic stability”, and “consultative democracy”, have attracted wide attention and generated extensive responses.
