Foreword

According to the requirements of"Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2010"（Jianbiao〔2010〕No.43），issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development，the code is developed and completed by China Information Technology Designing and Consulting Institute Co.，Ltd.（CITC），in conjunction with the participating development organizations.

Extensive research and investigation were conducted during the formulation process of the specifications.By referencing and analyzing best practices and relevant standards both at home and abroad as well as consulting with various parties，the working group confirmed the last version upon multiple reviews and examinations.

The code consists of 9 chapters with the main contents as follows：General provisions，abbreviations，telecommunication cable line network，optical，copper cables and terminal equipment selection，cable route selection，installation of optical cable，installation of copper cable，protection of optical（copper）cable lines，station position selection and building requirements.

The provisions printed in bold font are compulsory and must be enforced strictly.

Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is in charge of the administration of the code and the explanation of the compulsory provisions while CITC is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents.During the implementation process of the code，suggestions and recommendations are welcome and can be mailed to CITC.（Address：Building #3，ZhuYu Business Center，No.9，South Shouti Road，Haidian District，Beijing，P.R.China Postal Code：100048）.
