Conventions

In this book, you will find a number of styles of text that distinguish between different kinds of information. Here are some examples of these styles and an explanation of their meaning.

Code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles are shown as follows: "You have to copy the JDBC driver JAR file into the lib/ext folder."

A block of code is set as follows:

karaf.lock=true
karaf.lock.class=org.apache.karaf.main.SimpleFileLock
karaf.lock.dir=/path/to/lockfile
karaf.lock.delay=10

Any command-line input or output is written as follows:

karaf@node1> config:edit my
karaf@node1> config:propset key other
karaf@node1> config:update
