Fedora

The following are the steps to install Git on Fedora:

  1. Open Terminal.
  2. Depending on your Fedora version, use YUM or DNF to install Git as follows:
$ sudo dnf install git 
//or
$ sudo yum install git
  1. Verify the installation:
$ git -version
  • The output should be something like the following:
git version 2.9.2
  1. Configure Git with the following commands:
$ git config --global user.name "Your Name"
$ git config --global user.email "you@example.com"
