Ordinal features

Ordinal features, similar to nominal features, also have a finite set of categorical values. However, unlike nominal features, these categorical values can be put into a specific order. In our example, the Temperature feature is an ordinal feature. The labels in this category can be ordered from coldest to warmest. Ordinal features can be converted into continuous variables by interpolating the range values to a defined scale.
