1　General provisions

1.0.1　This Standard is formulated with a view to promoting the development of pulverized coal injection（PCI）technology，and ensuring better utilization of resources and energy in PCI designs for blast furnace（BF）.

1.0.2　This Standard is applicable to designs of the construction，renovation and extension of PCI for blast furnace.

1.0.3　PCI designs for BF shall conscientiously implement the national steel industry development policies，follow the principle of circular economy，strengthen environmental protection，as well as achieve production safety，energy conservation and emission reduction.The designs shall be technologically advanced，economic，rational，reliable and practical.

1.0.4　PCI designs for BF shall comply with not only the requirements stipulated in this Standard，but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
