1　Scope

This specification defines the technical requirements for mechanical design（including structure design and strength design），fabrication，trial assembly，acceptance，packing，installation，inspection and testing of the trays and their component parts for tray towers used in petrochemical plants.

This specification is applicable to the design，fabrication，installation，inspection and testing of the trays for tray towers used in petrochemical plants，but it is not applicable to the packing supports，accumulator trays and pan distributors for packed towers.
