3 Engineering Geology Investigation
3.1 General Requirements
3.1.1 Engineering-geological investigation shall include basic geological conditions of project site and predominant engineering-geological issues,hydro-geological condition and assessment of corrosiveness of environmental water, and distribution, reserve and quality of natural building materials.
3.1.2 In engineering geological investigation, the currently available topographical and geological data shall be collected and used.Priority should be given to geological survey, general prospecting and simple onsite testing as the investigation methods;while detailed prospecting may be used when necessary. To enhance comprehensive analysis of data,in the engineering geological appraisal, the methods of engineering geological analogy and empirical analysis may be applied.
