5.5　Boiler Water Circulating Pump and Start-up Pump

5.5.1　After boiler water circulating pump has been delivered，proper storage shall be carried out according to the requirements of the manufacturer's technical documents.The comprehensive re-inspection shall be carried out according to the equipment drawing requirements before erection.Moreover，the equipment shall be counted and numbered.

5.5.2　The erection of boiler water circulating pump shall meet the following requirements:

1　The electric motor and main flange bolts shall not be covered with heat insulating materials.

2　Thermal expansion of equipment and pipes shall be taken into account for the installation length of motor power cable.

3　The pump body shall be in free expansion，together with the pipes in the system，and any external force shall not act on the pump body and the motor.

4　There shall be enough expansion clearance in the lower part of the motor.

5.5.3　The connection between the boiler water circulating pump and the motor shall meet the following requirements:

1　When butt welding is carried out to the pump shell and pipes，it must be ensured that the shell flange of main motor pump is horizontal and its deviation shall not exceed 1° and 5mm，and re-inspection shall be carried out after welding.

2　The internal space of pump shell and the wear resistance ring shall be washed and inspected.The surfaces shall be clean.There shall be no any burr in the pump shell flange.

3　It the trial operation conditions are not ready after the erection of the motor，the erection shall be carried out according to the static conditions.

4　The gaskets for the connection flange between the pump shell and the motor shall be complete，which shall not be used repeatedly.

5　The flange bolts must be coated with the high-temperature anti-seizure agent.The screw caps shall be tightened in accordance with the sequence and torque provided by the manufacturer.

5.5.4　The erection of the heat exchanger in the boiler water circulating pump system shall be carried out according to the requirements of the manufacturer's instruction.The motor shell bracket must be firm and reliable.The high and low pressure heat exchanger flange sealing gaskets shall not be used wrongly，and the flange sealing covers for the heat exchangers must be taken out.

5.5.5　After the preservative solution for the motor has been discharged，the qualified desalted water shall be filled timely for conservation.

5.5.6　The low-pressure cooling water in connection with the heat exchanger shall be clean.If necessary，the temporary filter screen shall be equipped.The circulation mode and path shall meet the technical requirements for the heat exchanger.

5.5.7　After the erection of the motor high pressure cooling system，it shall be washed cleanly with the qualified desalted water.

5.5.8　When the ambient temperature is below the value，which is required by the manufacturer，the measures of cold protection and anti-freeze shall be taken in the motor external locations.

5.5.9　The boiler water circulating pump motor shall not be involved in the boiler whole overpressure test.

5.5.10　The installation clearance for the boiler water circulating pump must meet the requirements of the manufacturer's technical drawings.

5.5.11　The trial operation of boiler water circulating pumps shall be carried out according to the related provisions in Article 10.2.12 in this Part，and the following requirements shall apply.

1　After the qualified desalted water has been filled fully into the motor chamber，the water just can be fed into boiler proper.

2　For the first instant start-up，it shall be confirmed that the motor operation direction shall be correct and the current and voice shall be normal.

3　During the trial operation，the following conditions must apply:

1）The water filled in the motor shall meet the manufacturer's technical requirements.

2）The water level for steam drum or water tank shall be normal.

3）The thermal protection shall be put into operation.

4）The surveillance meters shall be accurate and reliable.

5）It shall be confirmed that the start-up boiler water circulating pump inlet valve shall be opened.
