1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This code has been formulated for safe and reliable construction of nuclear power plants with advanced technologies and economic viability，compliance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Precautions against Earthquake and Relief of Disaster and Construction Law of the People's Republic of China，and assurance of high quality in seismic investigation and evaluation.

1.0.2　This code applies to seismic investigation and evaluation for construction of stationary commercial nuclear power plants on land.

1.0.3　The seismic investigation and evaluation shall be conducted in phases as required in the capital construction procedures for nuclear power plants.The investigation and evaluation shall comply with requirements in this code in respect of content，depth and results.

1.0.4　The seismic investigation and evaluation shall also comply with provisions in relevant current national standards in addition to this code.
