斯堪的纳维亚地区因地处欧洲北部的斯堪的纳维亚半岛而得名,通常指丹麦、芬兰、冰岛、挪威和瑞典五个国家。而事实上只有挪威和瑞典两个国家真正坐落在斯堪的纳维亚半岛上,但由于这五个国家都位于欧洲的北部地区,且彼此邻近,因此,“斯堪的纳维亚地区”实际上指的就是北欧。正因为这种地域的临近,这些国家的历史背景彼此相互关联,语言相近(芬兰受俄语语系的影响较大,自成一派),因而这些国家几个世纪以来一直有很好的文化交融,并且建立了共同的意识形态,从而对于一种风格的形成奠定了良好的基础。
Scandinavia is a peninsula located in Northern Europe, generally refers to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In fact, only Norway and Sweden are the countries that situated in Scandinavian Peninsula. As these five countries are all located in Northern Europe and are adjacent to one another, Scandinavia became the alternative name of Northern Europe. As they are neighborhood in the aspect of geographic location, their historic background and languages are similar. Finland was influenced by Russia, thus different from the other four countries' languages. These five countries have well incorporation and shared ideologies, thus can build a sound foundation to forming the same style.
