Canon—Delighting you always 时刻惊喜：佳能

提起佳能（Canon），大家或许只记得它的EOS相机，其实现在的佳能公司包含了三大业务：最为人熟知的个人产品，如照相机、镜头、摄像机、计算器、家用复印机等；写字楼文仪用品，如多功能大型数码印刷机等；外加其他产品，如计算机、医学和光学设备。日本总部设在东京太田，全球也设有分部，包括美国、欧洲、中东、亚洲、大洋洲和非洲。在2013年《财富》杂志全球500强企业中，营业额排名236，净利润排名165，相当不错！

虽然贵为全球大公司，也不可唯利是图，对社会环境也要负责任。佳能也像诺基亚一样，利用回收复印机物料生产环保计算器；被环保机构Clean Air-Cool Planet 评为气候友好公司（climate-friendly co.）第56位，全靠公司在欧洲发展时的策略和社会责任，致力推动 “绿即是蓝”的环保计划。它不单关心产品质量，还顾及伦理、态度、人道主义援助和救灾、教育、科学及社会福利。所以一个品牌的成功，确实需要各方面的努力！

消费者如我，最感兴趣还是它的多功能照相机，入水能游，出水能跳，儍瓜也变专业！喜欢佳能要从它的机身设计讲起，简直与手掌融为一体，拍摄由我主动，跟宣传口号“时刻有惊喜”不谋而合！

When referring to Canon we think of EOS series, however; the company Cannon Inc has already developed 3 main types of business to date. Most people will remember cameras, lens, video cams, calculators and printers; the second is office equipment like copying machines, inkjet printers, laser printers, etc. and the third is industrial equipment like medical imaging equipment and lithographic equipment. Its headquarter is set up in Ota, Tokyo in Japan. They have offices across the globe like US, Europe, Mid-east, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa, etc. In 2013 the Fortune magazine reported that it placed 236 out of 500 strong global enterprises and its net profit ranked incredibly 165th.

Though a big enterprise, they do not merely look for profit but focus on environmental protection too. Like Nokia, Canon collects the old printer parts to make green calculators, and such action was appraised by Clean Air-Cool Planet, an organization which stresses green issue, stated that it ranked 56th in climate-friendly co. Since they developed business in Europe, they already had strategy in social responsibility. They promoted the idea of “Green is Blue” and thought about ethics, attitude, humanism, charity, education, science and social benefit besides product quantity and quality. We can conclude that the success of a brand depends on many issues.

A consumer like me is more interested in their cameras, particularly those can be multifunctional, water proof and playful as what professional cams have acquired! I am also amused by its design especially the shell which is comfortably hold and very user friendly when I take pictures. It matches their slogan “Delighting you always” very well.

It is good that a big enterprise like Canon can take social responsibility to save the planet.
