Read aloud and underline the sentences about giving directions.
Dialogue 1
A: Excuse me, but could you tell me the way to the railway station?
B: The railway station? Just go down this street and turn left at the second corner. The station is at the end of that street.
A: How long will it take me to get there?
B: It's an about-ten-minute walk.
A: That's very clear. I think I can find my way now. Thank you.
B: Not at all.

Dialogue 2
A: Excuse me, where's the nearest ATM?
B: It's not very far. Do you see that yellow building over there?
A: The big one or the small one?
B: The big one.
A: Yes.
B: It's right next to it, on the right.
A: Do you know if there's a convenience store around here?
B: I don't think there's one around here. The nearest one is on the 3rd street, but that's probably closed now.
A: I really need to get some things before I leave.
B: Well, you can go down to the 22nd street. There are lots of stores that are open 24 hours a day.
B: Can I take the subway to get there?
B: Yes, but that'll probably take about half an hour. You should just take a taxi.
A: Won't that be expensive?
B: No, from here I think it's only about 5 dollars.
A: I see. Thanks.
B: Not at all.

Section 2 Reading
Hello! Welcome to1Yanyuan Vocational School! Now, I'd like to introduce our school surroundings2 to you. There is a shop near our school. If you want to go to the shop, just go down the Zhongshan Road and turn right at the first traffic light. The shop will be on your right. Opposite to the shop is a post office.3 There is a hospital near our school, too. First, go down the Zhongshan Road and take the first turn on the left. Then turn right4at the first traffic lights. Walk along the Zhongshan West Road and past the second traffic lights. You can find the hospital on your left.
