Product Modular Organization and Competition Upgrading Choice of Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises

Abstract:Based on two dimensions of modular product's characteristic, namely interface openness and technology stability, and combining with typical cases, this paper illustrates the capability requirements for product system integrators, assemblers and modular-makers in different types of modularized product hierarchy.And it analyzes Chinese manufacturing enterprises' competition spaces, and proposes the corresponding international competition strategies.And then, through discussing the dynamic organization change in product modularization, it further explores the competition strategies and the capability expanding directions for the enterprises at different manufacturing layers.
