Social Innovation in China: Ten-Years' Practice of Youchange China Social Entrepreneur Foundation

[Abstract] With the background of ten years' development of Youchange China Social Entrepreneur Foundation（Youchange）and social innovation as the mean line, this paper deeply analyzes innovation and social innovation's development in China and its implications both theoretically and practically. Beginning from the history of social innovation in China and the world, this paper firstly analyzes four sources of social innovation in China. Then, through dissecting concepts and relevant theories and combining with practical experiences of Youchange, it further clears up the concepts of social innovation, the theories of mind of social innovation and source of social innovation, and four phases of social innovation: idea-prototype-social experiment-spread. Meanwhile, it also discusses the internal structure of social innovation organization and its leadership, and further expounds social entrepreneur and social entrepreneurship. Finally, this paper analyzes how social innovation organization make their strategy, management, marketing and spread, and points out that the nature of social innovation is a tool for the dynamic balance of human society, and the implication of its reform and systematic harmony.
