Status Analysis and Sustainable Development Strategy of Shrimp and Crab Aquaculture Industry in Shandong Province

Abstract: Through detailed investigation and study, the situation of shrimp and crab farming industry in Shandong Province was analyzed. This paper summarizes the major resources and distribution of shrimp and crab in freshwater and seawater. The main aquiculture conditions of shrimps and crab were generalized from the aquiculture magnitude and patterns. We reveal the common problems and propose the development countermeasures of this industry according to technical requirements, market prospects and economic expectations. In this paper, the problems and challenges in shrimp and crab aquaculture industry are summarized and the corresponding strategies are proposed. It will be helpful for the healthy and sustainable development of shrimp and crab aquaculture industry in Shandong Province, and in other areas of China, and it may provide theoretical and technical basis for decision-making of relevant authorities.
